2024 Jersey Summer Fruit CSA
In addition to our traditional Organic Vegetable Share we also offer a Jersey Summer Fruit Share.
Our summer fruit shares begin in early July with Jersey blueberries and blackberries. As summer kicks in, so do yellow and white peaches and nectarines along with personal size watermelons, cantaloupes and other delicious melons. Late summer brings pears and plums, they are followed by raspberries, apples, Asian pears and cranberries in the fall.
Your share box is about a third of a bushel but the share isn’t sold by volume. We chose that size to hold the larger items in mid-summer so the box may be bigger than needed in some parts of the season.
The fruit shares end around the same time as our vegetable shares in October, so they run for about 13 weeks. The fruit is from a combination of our farm and local farms and orchards that utilize environmentally sustainable IPM, integrated pest management that minimizes pesticide use.
To make it easy for you our Jersey Fruit Shares can be picked up at the same locations and at the same times as our vegetable CSA shares. This share is completely separate from our vegetable CSA and Jersey fruit shares at all locations are “pre-boxed.”
