What makes our tomatoes so special?

They're Jersey tomatoes!

Grown in the sandy, acidic, soil no other region can match a Jersey tomato for flavor. Our farm is approved to pack using the “Jersey Fresh” logo so customers know they are getting the best tomato there is. 

They're certified organic!

All of our tomatoes are certified organic by Quality Certification Services of Gainesville, Florida, a USDA accredited certifier. Consumers want locally grown, organic produce and Summer Wind Farm's tomatoes are both!

It's how they're grown!

Our round tomatoes are grown in the ground, in "High Tunnels" which are metal frames that support a plastic canopy over the field. This protects our tomato plants from wind, rain, and hail and allows us to maintain perfect growing conditions.

​Our tomatoes are firmer, better looking, and have a longer shelf life than tomatoes grown in the open field. Water is efficiently provided through drip irrigation and precise amounts of organic nutrients are added.
These three factors make Summer Wind Farms certified organic tomatoes your best choice for the choosiest of customers. Our organic, high tunnel, Jersey tomatoes are available in hybrid round and heirloom varieties. Organic, Jersey, field grown, grape tomatoes are also available in red, yellow or mixed.
