These scallops are fresh from the waters of New Jersey and have not been treated with liquid, or more precisely, the chemical- sodium tripolyphosphate which is used to allow scallops to absorb water, which you end up paying for. It also ruins the taste and texture of the scallop. There is nothing quite so delicious as a fresh, “dry” JERSEY scallop! The TWO pound pack is a better price. Scallop prices have increased but the cost per serving is still very good. 100% 5 star reviews!!!!
